EYEEM
In early 2016, I did an internship as part of my Master’s graduation track at EyeEm, a Berlin-based technology company that hosts an online photography community and marketplace. I also conducted the research for my thesis at Eyeem about ‘authentic photography’ in the digital age based on work by Walter Benjamin.
As an intern in the marketing department, I developed and executed video projects that included short films, event registrations and animations. After my internship, I was asked to produce all videographic material for EyeEm’s 2016 Festival & Awards in Berlin. I created a promo video, event visuals, a highlights video and a portrait of EyeEm’s Photographer of the year. The festival content was shot in Berlin and the portrait was shot in Paris.
PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR
Zacharie Rabehi was the 2016 EyeEm Festival & Awards Photographer of the Year based on his work in India. For the portrait that was shown at the event and shared online we shot everything in his hometown of Paris.
