DIEP EVENTS

Diep Events has been organising house and techno events in Weert (the Netherlands) since 2012. The organisation's name can be translated from Dutch to English as Deep, which explains their focus on the alternative, deeper side of electronic music. Diep’s showpiece is it’s summer festival that pays a lot of attention to decoration, intimate atmosphere and quality of music. I was Diep’s videographer from 2015 until the Covid pandemic changed the owner’s business objectives in 2020. My work included highlight videos, promos and live visuals.

Diep was awarded a local art fund in 2017 to promote electronic music and producer/DJ talent in Limburg. This is why I was commissioned to produce a short portrait documentary about Diep’s community work efforts, which released September 2019.

EEN DIEP PORTRET

For Diep Aan de Waterkant 2018, I followed Marc and interviewed him and his partners for a short portrait about Diep's festival and efforts to support local talent. It tells the story of a small garden party that turned into a boutique festival.

DIEP AAN DE WATERKANT 2018

Diep’s summer festival is called Aan de Waterkant, which translates to On the Waterfront. This all has to do with the unique location the festival has been hosted at since 2013. This 2018 highlights video is of Diep’s latest Aan de Waterkant.

DADW X ALFA BIER

For Diep’s most recent summer festival I was asked to create a sponsor video for local brewery Alfa Bier. Known as a very traditional beer brand, I deliberately chose a creative style that mixes both Diep’s as well as Alfa’s aesthetic.
